Antigua Guatemala, Sacatepequez: An American citizen resident in Guatemala was killed by gunshot wound.
Antigua Guatemala, Sacatepequez: In the early afternoon, an American citizen resident in Guatemala was shot several times by unknown assailants.

Izabal: A car intercepted a bus with 6 passengers. After forcing it to a stop, the assailants stole cash and jewelry.
Jalapa to Peten: Passport, driver's license and money were stolen from an American tourist’s backpack on the road from Jalapa to Flores, Peten.
Patulul, Solola: While driving to Panajachel in daylight hours near Patulul, an American citizen and passenger were shot at by a man who had been concealed by a bus stopped on the side of the road.
Puerto San Jose, Escuintla: After withdrawing money at Western Union, a US tourist was shot in the thigh after being approached by three men.
Quetzaltenango: An American citizen was visiting family in Quetzaltenango. Three armed men robbed her family's home and took jewelry, electronics, passport and other valuables. The family was tied up during the home invasion but uninjured.
Rio Dulce, Izabal: Two American Citizens were attacked by four assailants with machetes on their sailboat in Rio Dulce, Izabal. One American citizen died at the scene and the other American citizen was injured.
Rio Dulce, Izabal: While anchored near Finca Tatin in Rio Dulce, a sailboat was boarded by four assailants armed with machetes and guns. The assailants tied up two American citizens and robbed them.
San Antonio Chacaya, Santiago Atitlan: 4 armed men wearing ski masks intercepted an American citizen and stole his passport, camera, credit cards and driver's license.
San Martin, Sacatepequez: While walking in the early morning, an American citizen was robbed at gunpoint by three men wearing ski masks.
Tikal National Park, Peten: 3 armed men with ski masks intercepted a vehicle on a road inside Tikal National Park where 5 American citizens were traveling. Money, jewelry and electronics were stolen.
Tikal National Park, Peten: An American citizen and companions were robbed at gunpoint on the trail from Temple IV to the Lost World pyramid.
5 miles from Guatemala/Belize border: Two masked and armed men ran from the underbrush on the driver’s side of a vehicle and opened fire. One American citizen was shot and another suffered minor abrasions from glass fragments.
Km186 Ruta al Pacifico (Highway outside of Xela): While driving to Quetzaltenango (Xela) in the afternoon, four armed men forced the American citizen’s vehicle to stop and stole cash, camera, jewelry and passports at gunpoint.
