U.S. Ambassador Visits Food Security at Risk Areas
Ambassador McFarland and USAID Director, Wayne Nilsestuen, traveled on August 21 with Juan Aguilar, SESAN Secretary (Secretariat for Food Security and Nutrition), to assess the deteriorating food security conditions and the govermments's response in the southeastern departament of Jalapa.

U.S. Ambassador Stephen McFarland belonged to the light blue team.

Ambassador McFarland Participates in Friendly Soccer Match
The "90 Minutes Against Violence" friendly soccer game took place on the evening of Wednesday, September 16. The match was played at the Mateo Flores stadium with the purpose of encouraging Guatemalan youth to practice sports and stay away from violence.
