Death of President Ronald Reagan

Guatemala, June 7, 2004

The United States Embassy wishes to express its gratitude for the many messages of condolence it has received upon the death of former President Ronald Reagan.

The Embassy will offer a condolence book for members of the Guatemalan Government and the Diplomatic Corps. The book will be available for signing in the Embassy lobby today, Monday, June 7, from 2-4 p.m.; and Tuesday and Wednesday, June 8 and 9, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and from 2 - 4 p.m.

The Instituto Guatemalteco-Americano will also offer a condolence book available for the general public at IGA headquarters, (Ruta 1, 4-05, Zona 4.)

The Embassy and all other U.S. government facilities will be closed on Friday, June 11, in conformance with the National Day of Mourning.---
